The idea for this project was born in 2016 during my personal journey and struggle of being a full-time mama, while trying keep my creative soul alive and my life balanced. It comes from my yearning to create again, and my desire to nurture and connect with other mothers through my makeup artistry and photography.
I love being a mama. I get to experience daily doses of immeasurable joy radiating from my little person that make me love this life. It’s undeniable that I’m one of the lucky ones. But, the constant self-sacrifice involved while juggling the non-stop complexities of the stay-at-home mom lifestyle can be overwhelming and take their toll when you’re not looking. The darker side of being a mother can be a very isolating, lonely place if you’re not consistently carving-out personal time. No wonder it’s so easy to lose your identity along the way. This strive for balance in life seems pretty universal among us mommies, but the ability to achieve it and sustain it can sometimes seem impossible.

This is not a boudoir shoot. It's a makeup and portrait session designed to empower and celebrate mothers. During this beauty/portrait session I want to simply offer space for you to come and relax, be pampered, and feel good. I hope to lift you up and capture you feeling yourself again. Whatever that might mean for you; strong, happy, rested, feminine, sexy - whatever! I will be styling your hair, doing your makeup and then photographing you from my home studio. You can even have your child/children join in at the very end of your session, since us mamas are rarely in the frame with our little ones.
